The mission of The Power of Will is simple – to support and enhance the lives of sarcoma patients and their loved ones. Established in honor of Will Hudson, The Power of Will is on a steadfast pursuit to change the narrative for sarcoma patients.

We have seen firsthand how overwhelming a sarcoma diagnosis can be. From the initial shock of learning the diagnosis, to traveling for medical appointments, and finding others who share your experience, a journey with sarcoma is not meant to be traveled alone. The Power of Will exists to support those facing sarcoma through a variety of means:

There is a cure out there, and we will not rest until we find it. For nearly 40 years, standard of care therapy has not seen much change, and progress has slowed with improving outcomes for patients. This has a lot to do with a lack of funding for sarcoma research. There are many doctors and scientists who devote much of their careers to this research, but they rely on private foundations to fund these efforts.

Will is our inspiration and our advocacy for improved treatment options did not end with his passing. At The Power of Will, we are committed to finding better and less toxic treatments that may lead to possible cures through funding scientific research. With your help, we will make strides toward better outcomes for patients like Will.

The lack of education surrounding sarcomas is troublesome. This can present challenges for sarcoma detection and determining the appropriate diagnosis. The Power of Will is dedicated to spreading awareness through educational tools to gain exposure for this aggressive cancer. It is our hope that our outreach initiatives will result in earlier diagnoses and increased research funding.
